Nichols Point Primary School is located in a semi-rural setting eight kilometres from the Mildura CBD. The new Nichols Point Primary School was officially opened on September 6th, 2007 with enrolment of 319 students by 2008. The new school replaces the original school that was opened in 1907.

The design provides an open, flexible learning environment with a specialised art/science area, computer/community room, well -resourced library with two blocks of classrooms each centredaround a “break out” space that is equipped with ICT and flexible furnishings. A full sized gymnasium with a multi-purpose/dance and drama room as well as a kitchen area is also a major part of the new school.

Diston Wastewater installed a sewage treatment plant and irrigation system. Diston also trained local trades to maintain the system.
