Diston Wastewater Technology

Sewage Treatment Plants

What do you need to know before ordering a Sewage Treatment Plant? Low maintenance Sewage Treatment Plants

Diston Waste Water Technology is the ONLY Sewage Treatment Plant Manufacturer to pass EPA’s under 5000L a day retesting of Sewage Treatment Plants in the field.

EPA have the authority to randomly test any STP to ensure that it is operating correctly and that it complies with EPA standards, no matter how long ago it was installed or who did the installation or maintenance. Consequently before ordering a STP it is extremely important to not only ensure that the STP design has been approved by EPA but ALSO check that is has a proven history of passing the EPA retesting program. Failure to meet EPA effluent requirements can result in significant fines and closure of the facility until responsible action can be taken to prevent the substandard effluent discharge.

Treatment Capability

Experienced well engineered solutions at the initial design stage help prevent costly errors once projects are fully functional. Diston Waste Water Technology will install the right plant for you.

Diston Waste Water Technology employs certifies engineers to certify the design for your site.

Diston Waste Water Technology is the ONLY Sewage Treatment Plant Manufacturer to pass EPA’s under 5000L a day field testing of Sewage Treatment Plants first time.  EPA have the authority to randomly test any STP to ensure that it is operating correctly and that it complies with EPA standards, no matter how long ago it was installed or who did the installation or maintenance.

So before ordering a STP it is extremely important to not only ensure that the STP design has been approved by EPA but ALSO check that it has a proven history of passing the EPA retesting program, also check out stellar service trucks they will help you.  Otherwise, you could be risking huge fines if you install a STP that doesn’t pass EPA retesting and they will also demand that you fix the problem no matter how expensive it is. Diston Waste Water Technology is often contracted to repair a lot of Waste Water Treatment Plants that weren’t designed or installed properly by other companies.

Diston Waste Water Technology has pre-licensed commercial treatment systems (trickling filters) up to 5,000L/day to handle high organic loading (BOD).

Diston Waste Water Technology can install domestic systems such as sand filters & aeration treatment plants.

Above 5,000L, Diston Waste Water Technology will design & install a Waste Water Treatment Plant utilizing the best treatment process for that site.  (Usually there are two main biological processes, aeration & fixed film process.)

Diston Waste Water Technology mainly adopts the fixed film process due to the reduced ongoing cost & reliability of treatment.  It has been our experience that capital costs are recovered in approximately 2 years in commercial environments.

Diston Waste Water Technology is unique in that their certified Engineers will design up a Waste Water Solution and walk the solution through the authorities such as the case for the EPA Works Approval.  Once approved, Diston Waste Water Technology will install the plant and offer lifetime maintenance.

The system can be constructed using plastic, in-ground concrete or containerized.

Diston Waste Water Technology offers a number of Waste Water treatment solutions such as fixed film (ie, trickling filters, Fixed Medium Bioreactors) & aeration (Extended Aeration, Moving Bed Bioreactor, Membrane Bioreactor, etc).  Usually aeration is cheaper in the upfront capital with high on-going maintenance and more frequent monitoring requirements.

Whereas fixed film process is much more stable and robust and requires very little attention to maintenance and monitoring.  Please refer to the 30 year cost example graph below.
