The Wimmera Intermodal Freight Terminal is a $16.75 million dollar project that will transform the efficiency and capacity of grain handling and storage in the Wimmera. The Wimmera is one of the world’s largest grain, pulse and oilseed growing regions, and exports around 60% of total harvest. The Wimmera Intermodal Freight Terminal is an essential next step in meeting increased global demand for our products ground information. The 23.5 ha Terminal will provide a central location for grain storage facilities and grain export processors, improve access to freight depots, grain silos and processing plants, and build on the region’s nationally significant and export focussed grains industry.
Diston Wastewater Technology installed a small wastewater treatment plant with all the bells and whistles including UV & Chlorine disinfection, Orifice hydraulic load balancing, pulse irrigation, etc. This keeps the lawns around the station green.
